Biography

Its strange to write your own bio...

I grew up throughout the southern states in a family of five...and then a bit later of six. Most of my formative years were spent in the New Orleans area.

My primary interests are in community developing - trying to create alternative expressions of Christianity. I'm particularly interested in our emerging, post-modern culture and how we develop faith in that place. My theological interested are in ecclesiology, missiology and religion's engagement with culture.

From 2006-2009, I was the developer & curator of a small emerging faith community called The Netzer Co-Op (www.netzerco-op.org). At times I gave birth to that community, but mostly it gave birth to me.

I'm currently the Managing Editor of Generate Magazine (www.generatemagazine.com) and facilitator of Luthermergent.

I took my BA at Texas Lutheran University where I studied theology and leadership studies. I'm currently pursuing graduate studies towards an MDiv at Luther Seminary. I'm a candidate for ordained ministry in the Lutheran Church (ELCA).

I'm grateful for my friends at the Co-Op, emergent village, and our local cohort of radical conspirators in the Kingdom.

I saw a shirt recently that said, "Don't believe everything you think." Here on my blog you'll find my finite attempt to speak about that which is not finite. At best I'm failing, missing the point and making things too complicated. Welcome.
